Oh, yeah, we've got a blog...

U2's The Joshua Tree was released 20 years ago today… and Biggie died 10 years ago today. Do what you will with that.

The Bears… I really have nothing to say.

The Bulls… hey look! It’s the Best College Basketball team in the World! And they play in the NBA! Let’s see how far they can go with size, but no scoring down low; perimeter shooting, living and dying by the three, and play good D. The Bulls really are just like a really good college team, too bad they aren’t in the Tourney.

We don’t talk about football, err, soccer all that much here. But let’s just get a few thoughts out since we’re actually writing.

The Watford season is done. Which is a bummer, they’re going down. They’ve had a few chances to make things interesting, but they tied Charlton after being up 2-0, and they let a win get away against Wigan a few weeks ago. But it was fun and they have a good manager… don’t be surprised if they’re back in the Premiership in 2008-2009.

Actually, watching Watford is like watching the US Men's National team. No one on the team gives up, everyone one is willing to run through a brick wall, and there is little creativity and a striker no where to be found.

And to make matters even worse, there isn't even a disappointing, underachieving Landon Donovan type on Watford who at least once in a while might supply some inspiration.

Watford needed a striker and a midfielder who could do something with the ball at his feet. Something for next year I guess.

Champions League… if you can’t get up for this, well I don’t know what to say. Just listen to this song:

I can’t get enough of that shit. It’s so… classy, so Europe. Why not throw out some kick ass ‘classical’ music? They are European after all. Here in the States we’ve really only have two ‘classic’ themes in sports. The NFL, Monday Night Football, which is just so football, but you’ve got to admit it’s not classy. Then you’ve got the old NBA on NBC theme which is so American, cheesy, lacking tradition, inoffensive, and thoroughly enjoyable:

The good old days… okay, that’s all for now. Maybe I’ll actually break down the Semis in the Champions League another day. And if you really are looking for us ‘daily’ go to the Live with a Musician link. That’s VFLOAB everyday. Who doesn’t love that, ladies?
